What information do we collect about you?
We collect your personal information (your name, address, contact details) when you place an order from our online shop or make a booking to visit the cafe (whether online, in person or by telephone). Your information is stored on our website via WooCommerce system and a copy of your booking information may be sent to you and us by e-mail.
Your credit or debit card details are processed and stored securely by WorldPay, our payment gateway and we do not have access to your details.
We may use technology to track browsing and shopping patterns of visitors to our site but this will not capture any personally identifiable data.
When you visit our cafe we use CCTV to ensure the safety and security of our cats, customers and staff and for the prevention and detection of crime.
How do we use your information?
We use your information to process sales and ensure you receive the products and/or bookings you have purchased online. We use your information to track sales and to enable us to cancel a purchase or booking or allow you to return an item in accordance with our returns/cancellation policy.
We use information provided to us via e-mail (whether a copy of your booking information sent to us via WooCommerce or information sent directly via you) to record booking information including use of a gift voucher, dietary requirements, accessibility requirements and any personal requests.
You have consented to us using your personal data for the purpose of processing your sale and providing good customer service. We do not share your personal information with any external organisations, other than as may be required by law.
Our CCTV footage is reviewed if there is cause for concern in relation to the safety or security of our cats, customers and staff or cause for concern in relation to a crime being committed.
How long do we keep your information for?
We retain your booking information (whether via WooCommerce or via e-mail) for a maximum of 6 years in order to comply with accountancy rules. We usually retain e-mails for up to 18 months in order to track used bookings made using a gift voucher and we sometimes retain e-mails for longer if we feel this is necessary for accountancy purposes.
We retain our CCTV footage for so long as is reasonably necessary to ensure the safety and security of our cats, customers and staff.
What are your rights?
You have a right to access, correct, delete, restrict the use of and transfer your personal data. You have the right to object to your personal data being processed where Maison de Moggy Ltd consider this to be in our legitimate interests. You also have the right to withdraw consent to your personal data being used at any time by contacting Maison de Moggy Ltd via [email protected]
You have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (Tel: 0303 123 1113 or at www.ico.org.uk)) if you believe that we have not handled your personal information correctly.
