Working with us

Thanks for your interest in working with us!

22 May 2023

We are hiring a Casual Cat Nanny.  As a Casual Cat Nanny, you’ll be offered an average of 12 hours a week (averaged over a 12 week period). You do not have to accept any shifts offered, although we expect you to work often enough to keep up to date with the fur babies’ needs.

The role would suit someone who is looking to work flexibly, around 12 hours per week (a maximum of 35 hours) on a long term basis, and have the opportunity to take on additional shifts when it suits.

We pay the Real Living Wage.

What’s the role like? Unfortunately it’s not playing with cats all day. There’s a bit of cat play, a lot of customer service, cleaning and cat care. You are there as the cats’ advocate, to make sure they’re safe and happy. As a nanny you need to ensure the cafe’s rules are adhered to whilst making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable: it can be a tricky balance. You should be confident around cats and handling them. We have incredibly high standards of cleaning and this is a big part of the role. An ideal candidate would be highly organised, good at using their initiative, comfortable enforcing house rules and motivated by what can be a physically demanding role. A strong grasp of social media is beneficial. Barista and/or cat care experience is a bonus, but not essential. You must have visited us already so if you haven’t visited then book a session before applying.

If this sounds like you then this is what we want you to do:

Check out the application form here. Send us a video (no longer than 5 minutes) of you answering the questions in the application form. Send the video, together with a short cover letter to [email protected].

Closing date is 4 June 2023, we cannot accept applications after this date.

If you have previously applied you are welcome to apply again, we will always consider your application afresh.
